Agreed. There are many socially-acceptable drugs and what is acceptable should be defined in many ways: culturally, in terms of the type of use, and in the context of how and when a person uses.
just as there is acceptable alcohol use, so should there be for other substances; but that, or anecdotal reports of 'one guy' should not be how such decisions are determined.
There are many I know who cannot drink ONE drink, or they will fall off the wagon entirely. Same is true for pot. I know many who start with "well, it's Friday night" and wake up monday AM with the realization that another weekend just drifted by...
As I said, I still believe ALL drugs should be legal, but just as I support free will, I fully support full consequences and full right of other to be protected from drugs e.g. employers should be free to test and rid themselves of pot or cocaine users if they choose. It's a 2-way street.

Agreed, and you must share that Pot that starts out Friday night, cuase I need some wake up next week stuff right now.
Some people are assholes with or without chemicals. They will find gambling, porn, sex, whatever. Obsession and excess are not healthy regardless of your object of obsession.
This ties in with gun control too, blaming guns for shootings is like blaming coke for crack heads. Check out Free Will by Rush and it all makes sense, at least until the acid wears off.
Humans are to blame for humanities problems, time to take some accountability, however you have to. 12 step, religion, something... get out there and dance.
